Cayenne Pepper -

Cayenne Pepper (40,000 scoville) A finely ground spice made from a long, thin, and very hot type of capsicum (red pepper). Purchased from North Africa, we call it Nigerian cayenne to warn customers that it is very hot. Some cooks may know this very hot cayenne as African Bird Pepper. Though very hot, it retains a clean taste, unlike many hot products that seem to be muddled as they grow hotter. Nigerian cayenne only, meets our criteria for superior quality and taste.

Use in barbecues, marinades, curries, pickling spices, and sausages.
