Our madeleines are made daily in small batches in the pure French tradition with fresh ingredients and European butter following time tested recipes. The Madeleine is a traditional French sweet, heightened to celebrity by writer Marcel Proust. Distinguished by its shell-like shape and delicate cake-like texture, it is a staple of eternal youth.
A light and airy chocolate indulgence, with bitterness of cocoa nibs added for texture, a perfect way to end dinner on a sweet note or satisfy that afternoon chocolate craving. This could be a French twist on brownies.
Each Madeleine measures about 3" and weighs about 1 oz. The bag will keep them fresh and moist for about a week.
These madeleines are hand-made only with the freshest ingredients and contain milk based products and traces of nuts.
