Black Sesame Seeds Sesame seeds are most commonly white or black, though red and brown varieties pop up every now and then. Whatever the color, the flavor is quite consistent. They add a depth of flavor reminiscent of dry-roasted nuts to many dishes, most commonly Asian ones. Black sesame seed are especially good on salmon and other fish! Use sesame seeds with salads, fish, poultry and meat dishes, add to stir fried vegetables, bean and noodles dishes, cheese spreads and egg salads, butter or cheese sauces, cakes and cookies, and butter spreads and breads.
